Experience Fallout 76 from a new perspective.
Coming soon
Fallout 76 brings action, building and friends together within a mostly faded and scrappy post-apocalyptic lore. My friend TA_NOCCHi said we could bring some elegance to Appalachia, a little freshness to relieve the irradiated gloom. And so the door to possibility was opened.
5 SISTERS
KASHY
My original character, TA_KASHIYUKA was quickly renamed KASHY by friends, mimicking real-life. CAMPs and Shelters were generally built before those of other sisters, so are often less complex in design and technique. Some have been updated slightly over time but are generally as they were.
MIDDLE KASHY
The second-eldest, Middle KASHY arrived in Appalachia with a few more skills, quite a few more assets and plenty of ideas about what might be possible when thinking outside of the Appalachian box. She went about building a wide range of one-off concepts in her CAMPS and Shelters, breaking further away from the norm of what a FALLOUT 76 build is often expected to be.
LITTLE KASHY
Little KASHY’s experiences see her as quite different from her sisters. Trapped in a rockfall at the age of 6, she grew up isolated, with only teddy bears and other toys as company. Over time, her trauma grew into illness at the cost of the lives of those who stumbled into her cave. In battle, her blade is powerful and her bravery is reckless. Her builds reflect her humble reality or her fantastic dreams.
With more love in her heart and violence in her actions than anyone should ever carry, her story has been told through a series of videos.
BABY KASHY
Baby KASHY’s impulsive immaturity has seen her creating new stories and themes without regard to Appalachian conventions.
She built a beautiful cottage to live in and an abandoned cottage to die in, before sharing her views on Bethesda, getting inspired by conspiracy theories. and building unique design concepts with lighting effects that seem to defy explanation.
What else should we expect from an infant?
REPLICANT KASHY
Originally Foetus KASHY, she drew her first inspiration for her first 4 shelters from the Fallout TV series before being drawn to BladeRunner 2049.
That brutalist style is expressed through many camps and shelters, creating an immersive escape from Fallout 76’s Appalachia.
In combination with her unexpectedly resilient combat style, identification as a replicant seems more appropriate.
About a year after I started playing Fallout 76, I built a camp that wasn’t entirely terrible. 30+ CAMPS and 60+ Shelters later, nearly all of which still exist and are shared here, builds have taken on many different themes and design languages, perhaps as part of a greater concept or storyline. Similarly, videos evolved from basic showcases with stock soundtracks to music videos that tell stories, have some fun and at times engage emotionally too, with camps and shelters as sets.
For originality and laziness, I rarely watch showcase or tutorial videos, and with songs often don’t watch the original video. I’m sure there are times when ideas and techniques develop along similar lines, but the intent is to be original and authentic. Unapologetically I use some visual mods in the game and some effects when editing video to optimize viewing and story-telling experiences.
Building, story and music styles go in whichever direction inspires me within the limits of my taste and skills at the time. My video editing is self-taught through the cycle of idea, trial and error, so that has been a gradual progression too. The outcome is concepts, builds, techniques and videos that can be quite unique in the world of Fallout 76.
