A DIVERSE RANGE OF FALLOUT 76 CAMP BUILD CONCEPTS RANGING FROM SIMPLE TO COMPLEX, MOSTLY CLEAN AND OFTEN THOUGHT PROVOKING.
Fallout 76 CAMPs are shared here for enjoyment and inspiration, rather than as “showcases”, and even in-game many design elements are subtle or fit in seamlessly so that most visitors don’t notice them. Similarly, small details are often not highlighted in photos and videos. CAMPs are always best experienced in-game for those on PC. Some CAMPs have videos, many currently don’t. All CAMP builds in Adventure mode within regular build budget. Build years listed below are estimates. Skill levels are estimates based on technique, patience and precision required.

UNAGI
KASHY, 2025
What better name for a seafood restaurant than UNAGI, being salt-water eel cooked by specially trained experts. Unfortunately, eel is currently not available in Appalachia but many other species are. We don’t use printed menus, instead inviting guests to choose from the mounted wall displays, or take advantage of the fresh crab steamer / cremator. Radiation levels may vary. Allergy warning: While all precautions are taken, meals may contain food.
LOCATION: Inconveniently located in the lake near Thunder Mountain Power Station, which apparently is off-line. Again.
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: Glowing blue 1/4 height windows top and bottom both sides, floating canoes, indoor water elements, concealed merging through upper floor pieces, concealed power and weather system, floating promotional lettering (not shown here), hectic open kitchen with random elements, welcoming outdoor area, small utility area, shelter access via basement, sorry about the sunken trawler. Skill level Advanced.

KASHY KUBE
One morning I had an idea that I shared with my shower screen of a cube that was completely featureless other than interesting corners. No windows, no doors, no interruptions to its surfaces. A box that wasn’t quite. The outcome is exactly that, the complete opposite of its surroundings. Grey walls contrast with glowing white corners on all 4 sides. Inside an open modern feel marks it is perhaps a commercial space, with a fully functional workshop and shelter accesses upstairs.
LOCATION: Watoga.
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: Manually aligned internally illuminated 45 degree corner walls, doorless entry and exit system, alien-bench functional staircase that can also be sat upon naturally, recessed / foundation-merged shelter entries, floating weapon displays etc. Skill level Moderate+
DILAPIDATED FARMHOUSE
BABY KASHY, 2023
Dilapidated Farmhouse is as tragic in its appearance as the story told in its video. It speaks of a child living in destitution in a neglected and dangerous location. It is easy to imagine someone optimistically building a cottage in this location, high above the valley and danger, but eventually succumbing to its inability to provide adequate resources to live on and sinking into destitution. Various pets remain, so someone is looking after them, but it seemed nobody was looking after Susie, not when it mattered anyway, as her body can often be seen sprawled on the harsh rocks below, a crow sitting on a barrel nearby. The house is full of toys, creating the impression that the child is often alone, maybe almost abandoned. More toys little fill the yard area, some gradually becoming buried in the soil along with various farm detritus. There is nothing happy about this build for me, and I doubt I will do another like it.
LOCATION: Northwest Toxic Valley, near The Crosshair
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: Extensive terrain merging, attention to detail in other merges and placements to ensure seamless integration, door on the outdoor toilet, facility for lying on the rock below, generally working with difficult terrain. Shelter access through basement but planned to be updated to allow for more direct shelter access without affecting build integrity. Difficulty level Moderate.
THE VOID
HEIWANA BASHO 平和な場所
KASHY, 2023
My PEACEFUL PLACE is in its second iteration. It is a n escape for calm reflection by the water, where visitors are encouraged to find spiritual solace. Officially, it’s a Mirelurk Shrine, but prayer and tribute can be directed toward any deity. Visitors are encouraged to relax and are welcome to explore the beautiful pond and many connected shelters. Red storms occasionally arise in the southern sky, which only add to the magic of the experience.
LOCATION: South of Lake Eloise, not far from the Ranger Station Bunker
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: Torii, sake barrels, features placed in the water, humble gable roof, shelter entrance structure, general materials, spaces and proportions. Some minor updates have occurred since the video was made. Direct access to most shelters. Skill level mostly Moderate+

THE GROTTO
For some unknown reason that has nothing to to do with building tricks I’m known as a witch by my friends in Appalachia. Every witch needs a creepy home, right? This 2023 version of the Witch House is a rebuild of the original built on the same sight, which was, to be honest, a bit crap. The vibe is of a house that was once very elegant and refined, but has changed over time to become weird, with metal bars, dim lighting and curiously morbid artifacts and collections. Maul sits out front, the onsen seems to also be a place of mourning, some graves are nearby, and a witch explodes from time to time.
LOCATION: Near Sunnytop Ski Lanes
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: Not a lot. Concealed weapon racks, power and weather system. Exploding witch. Some interesting merges and displays but it’s mostly about feel, layout, and item placement. Direct access to most shelters, small workroom. Skill level Moderate.
A beautiful and usually sunny location suited an airy and open design. Upstairs has a lovely open lounge area with kitchen and bathroom, surrounded on 3 sides by spacious decks. Downstairs contains a fully equipped workshop that has given away nothing in aesthetics to be completely functional. The nearby wooden walkway provides access up and down the hill, and the nearby landing has a tropically-themed onsen. At night, the white walls glow inside and out, highlighting the walls and window features. My first adventurous build, it remains a favourite.
LOCATION: Northwest of Flatwoods
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: Wall design with internal illumination, semi-merged shelter entrances, “floating” upper floor, unique entry design, workshop finishes, custom kitchen using 2022 resources, general materials and finishes. Direct access to most shelters. Skill level Moderate.
WITCH-HOUSE

THE TOWERS
REPLICANT KASHY, 2024
4 Rooms developed ideas about light as an effect that defines the build. The 4 rooms are mostly glass, with different styling elements and colour themes to differentiate them. They glow brightly but without visible light sources- green for workshop, blue for dining, orange for the lounge, pink for the bedroom, each perfectly decorated for function and appearance. The guidestones and nearby onsen have a lilac glow, and the central display at one end, and floating signage letters at the other, are white. Silhouettes are mysteriously cast on 3 floating walls, their attire blowing in the wind. Goliath body parts glow orange and green at ground level, while access “stairs” are aligned to the rooms but not connected, poistioned according to room layout. A red storm surrounds the CAMP, adding to the mystery.
LOCATION: Mysterious Guidestones, southern end of The Divide
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: High-illumination concealed themed lighting throughout the CAMP, dynamic silhouettes (2 methods used) with no apparent light source, floating rooms each perched on a themed column, removal of undergrowth around the guidestones, addition of vegetation elsewhere to minimise the “rusty” look of the surrounding vegetation, multiple subtle merged displays (most visitors don’t even notice them due to seamless integration), flaoting promotional lettering. Almost no element of the build and decor is straightforward because I am unnecessarily fussy and the lighting needed to be perfect. Limited Shelter access. Skill level Advanced.
The Sentinel sits in darkness, its fire and ice theme seeing orange lights and flames fighting to illuminate the pervading blue gloom that mysteriously illuminates windows, walls and floors. Even the orange lights seem to cast a blue glow. Reflection of the fires swirl in the water menacingly, and the darkness of the black floor and water finds careless visitors swimming in frigid inkiness. Cold stone and glass construction with almost no decor hints at government involvement, yet it sits seemingly abandoned, alone with its burning rooftop memorial. Inside The Sentinel offers a fully functional workshop and comprehensive shelter accesses, along with silhouette guards who flicker in and out of vision, depending on your viewpoint.
LOCATION: Southern edge of the lake beside Thunder Mountain Power Plant

Inspired by grand European rail stations, KASHY Station provides a multi-platform undercover facility. With a casual diner, ticket office, seating on each platform, vending machines and other distractions, it is a pleasant environment in which to wait for trains that will never leave or arrive. A generous workshop is provided, along with emergency medical services and many shelter entrances located up, down and sideways. Those who explore will find a pleasant onsen in an abandoned carriage nearby. The video below is of the first iteration, and the minor minor updates since have added functionality but not changed the basic structure.

TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: Perfect alignment and heights of platforms, integrated shelter entries, floating signage (not shown here), various subtle merges and manipulations. Direct access to most shelters. Skill level Moderate.
The VOID was my first brutalist structure, a monolith of stone and glass. It introduced reflected blue light that seems to come from nowhere, along with dixie lights for an orange highlight, themes that carried through a series of 5 camps in the same location. Its bleakness in the dark stillness sets an out-of-Appalachia tone that is not interrupted by any form of softness. It is a utilitarian, sterile structure whose only purpose seems to be to allow access to shelters. Silhouettes stand at either end, one wearing cowboy attire, the other a vaultsuit, representing the spirits of conformity and survival. The structure is set back from the edge of the lake and at water level, creating the impression of the area being flooded, without quite flooding the building. As with the other CAMPs in the brutalist collection, The VOID is fully immersive within its own world, a jolt to the sensibilities of those who excuse camps full of crap and shacks full of shit with that word. My view is that when concept, execution and environment are perfectly matched, an ideal result is achieved. The VOID’s uncompromised purity is core to why it has such an impact, resonating with me and visitors alike.

LITTLE KASHY, 2024
With so many restrictions on placement, Fallout 76 builders are inexplicably discouraged from building in or even near water. Surely, in a post-apocalyptic world, some structures are going to be flooded. This was Little KASHY’s experience when she tentatively ventured to the surface, far from people who could hurt her. The flooded street she found has a general store, a blacksmiths with a fully equipped workshop and other resources, a partly submerged fishing boat, ironically home to swimming fish, and a ruined house which she decided was a nice place to rest. There are vehicles flooded by the water, one of which has caught fire, and even a whale somewhere, and fearsome looking creatures that don’t bother her. The water is toxic so visitors get radiation, but this doesn’t seem to bother Little KASHY. The video is not a showcase, instead providing a context for her connection with the Flooded Street. Fans of Arcane and the odd special effect may relate.
LOCATION: South-western edge of the lake beside Thunder Mountain Power Plant
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: Building in the water and floating unsupported items in or on the water. Floating promotional lettering (not shown, you’re already here). Various merges and subtle details. Shelter access via basement. Difficulty level Advanced.
KASHY ART rests on the still water, a clean white structure of unique, yet simple, design and proportions that baths in light during the day, and emits its own light at night. It exists at odds with its surroundings, an island of elegance amongst the mess. Inside, elegantly displayed paintings, tribal art and artifacts tell visitors that although the world has gone to hell, it is not necessary for us to go with it. Rectangular ponds with submerged lighting are mirrored by skylights above, complementing clean white walls. Outside, basic necessities, resources and shelter accesses are accessible through the repurposed gift shop, which is now significantly different to the video. However, the gallery itself is for all intents and purposes unchanged.
LOCATION: Near Sunshine Meadows Industrial farm
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: Simple-looking roof design, double-walls, use of terrain and water, subtle merging of various elements. Direct access to shelters. Difficulty level Moderate.
The Krystal Koncept is, in a word, unexpected. Part pyramid, part greenhouse, wholly functional and quite pretty, it contrasts with its unkempt surroundings. Located near Flatwoods, it has to be easy for inexperienced visitors and IQ-challenged PA Boys, so the entry leads directly to a central 4-way intersection with refreshments and vendors handy. To the left is a relaxing lounge area, and to the right a gymnasium. Straight ahead is a fully functional workshop, and outside to the right is a relaxing outdoor area with BBQ, music and a candlelit onsen. To the left are shelter entries, some submerged, some recessed in subtly glowing walls. Originally built by Little KASHY when she was I think level 13, my intention was that she would always surround herself with the finer things in life, but the under-floor artifacts (seen through glass) hinted at a story that was quite different. This set the tone for Little KASHY’s life, as described in Little KASHY’s story. She would dream of places built of glass and full of light, openness and magic, but her reality was to be much darker.
LOCATION: North of Flatwoods
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: Not a lot, it was more about design concept and patient execution. Alignment of parts, 4-thick illuminated wall placements, terrain merging with uncooperative terrain and little space, use of light (often concealed) and form in an essentially 3 coloured concept (black, white, green). Direct shelter access. Skill level Moderate+.
Bathed in pink light, the Kontradiction is 2 structures in one. A square-ish block sits in the lake, solid and sensible in a the style of a contemporary public space. A glass structure with curved sides almost just happens to sit in the same space, resulting in a curved inner structure and a mostly square external one, each independent from the other. Under a square skylight, a long pond within a pond occupies the centre, decorated by displays of local wildlife. An office sits at one end while a gorilla enjoys the other, both surrounded by mysterious glowing green. In each corner, tribal art and floral displays are warmed by orange lighting, and light food and refreshments are available for visitors. Outside the main room are overgrown gardens and vine-covered walls, along with 2 lift lobbies for shelter access at the entry, as well as cave access through window apertures.
LOCATION: South of Lake Eloise, not far from the Ranger Station Bunker
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: Design concept, manual alignment of wall pieces (especially curved walls) to achieve symmetry. Floating Roof, concealed lighting, lift-lobby-style shelter doors, subtle merging. Direct shelter access. Skill level Advanced.
An old shack sits in what appears to be an abandoned base of some sort. Skeletal remains hint at a sudden tragedy, and there is an uneasy feeling of danger in this swamp hidden between high cliff walls. The shack seems to be occupied by someone who is oblivious to the past danger, or feels comfortable with it. A child, by the looks of it, with toys sharing her space. On the clifftops above, an onsen bubbles away, surrounded by potted plants, while on the other side an abandoned car is being consumed by nature. The swamp itself curiously glows with blue light in the deep, murky darkness, with glowing fungus growing in the water. The warm farm is partly sunk into the mud, and the terrarium sits in the water. This is a practical space too, as those who no longer live here left behind a functional workshop, storage space and even basement access.
LOCATION: South of Lake Eloise, not far from the Ranger Station Bunker
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: Underwater lighting, placement of items (including crafting benches) in water, various item merges, flying drones with propellers, placement of covered bridge sections, terrain merges to solve uneven rock surfaces. Shelter access via basement. Skill level Advanced.
BABYLON
LITTLE KASHY, 2023
JURASSIC TREEHOUSE
Stuck in her cave, Little KASHY dreams of unlimited light and space, with no regard to reality. She imagines being up in the sky, away from rocks that trap her, with flying friends to play with. As a sensible girl, there is a place to sleep, one to exercise, and a fully functional workshop, along with plenty of snack food. There are also entries to other shelters, in the air and in the ground. Of course her teddy bears and other friends are there with her, and she has a memorial for Floppsy. She will always miss Floppsy. With marsupial mutation, access to all areas is easy …. but don’t fall!
LOCATION: South of Spruce Knob Channels
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: Floating buildings, stairs (internal and external), asteroids and creatures, freeplaced walls, hanging vines, concealed fireworks, wobbly ghoul heads, various merges to make plain things less plain, in-rock fire (not shown), complete functionality. Direct access to most shelters. Difficulty level Moderate+
BABY KASHY, 2024
In the northeast mire, ancient animals still live in the humid waterlogged forest. During the day, dappled light casts continuously evolving shadows over the scene, while at night the creatures are illuminated from above and below, either in their own colours. In the trees above, connected to each other by rickety old planks, are two humble structures. One is a cute and homely cottage, with flowers at every window, a lovely resting area and a picturesque onsen on a side deck. The other is an open area for eating and entertainment, overlooking the forest without hindrance. The location is remote, the atmosphere tranquil, the feeling peaceful. Nearby at ground level amongst glowing groundcover is an overgrown car that sinking into the mud, and a solid but seemingly neglected wooden building with comprehensive workshop facilities on the lower floor and what appears to be a lift lobby upstairs, in sharp contrast to the humble surroundings. Is something else going on here?
LOCATION: Northeast, not far from Mire’s Eye.
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: Floating structures aligned with existing floor elements in trees and connecting planks for thematic integration. Flower boxes and pots placed outside most windows and inside boxes in helvetia front window, underwater lighting, integrated elevator lobby, terrain merges so that dinosaur’s stand “naturally”, floating promotional lettering. Direct access to most shelters. Difficulty level Moderate+. Patience level Advanced.

KRISTMAS IN FLATWOODS
KASHY, 2023
EDGE angles up from water level, two halves of a concrete structure are disconnected by a central glass corridor, drones hovering above, lights pulsating in the water below. A garden relieves some of the harshness of the angled walls, but appears to have been neglected. Silhouettes flutter in the breeze on freestanding walls, complementing and contrasting the statues that are a familiar sight in this series of structures. A black metal floor matches the black water and walls glow without apparent light source. A bar and eating area is on the left inside, inspired by those in Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049. On the right is a fully functional workshop, and shelter entries rest behind open windows.
LOCATION: A little north of Flatwoods, guarded by BOS security (who are useless BTW).
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: Foundation-merged Christmas trees with floating lights at 3 levels in each. Direct access to most shelters. Difficulty level Moderate+.

A humble stone cottage faces south on a hillside overlooking the nearby river and distant hills. It appears to have been renovated fairly recently, with the addition of large glass windows, sliding doors, glass verandahs on all sides for weather protection, and a modern, tasteful decor. A beautiful cottage full of life (thanks to lovely gardens and uninvited settlers who inhabit it), the contrast with the Abandoned Farmhouse CAMP couldn’t be starker. HOME’s stone structure is welcoming, conveying a sense of stability and security, while its glass ensures it is full of sunshine and warmth. It’s full-function workshop creates no compromises, and there are some shelter accesses recessed into the pavers outside. HOME odesn’t try to be anything but what it is, and probably for that reason is a wonderful place to rest, away from post-apocalyptic stresses.
LOCATION: North of Sunshine Meadows Industrial farm
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: The strength of the build is in design and packaging efficiency. There are many subtleties that may be missed, but none are difficult, such as little steps in verandahs with 1/4 height glass fence, bar area treatments, planter placement and foundation merging, “sliding” glass doors etc. Direct access to some shelters. Skill level Moderate.
KRYSTAL KONCEPT
LITTLE KASHY, 2022
One of a series of CAMPS inspired by Blade Runner, it combines brutalist architecture with a fantasy scene of desert monoliths. A vision of harsh vertical structures rising from a smooth black ground led to the vertical harshness of The Towers. The buildings are taller than generally found in Appalachia, with almost no decor. It is a practical camp, with vendor, scrap collector, shelter accesses, a full-function workshop and a separate kitchen, all complementing the design rather than compromising it. The black floors are only marginally above the surrounding water level, and all have a mysterious pink glow within, or on them. Displays behind glass are also illuminated at all heights, apparently from nowhere. There is a central canal and 2 side canals, along with statues placed to reflect the light and use the dark. Atlantic City fog envelopes the area, making the most of the darkness and the steam from chimneys while isolating The Towers from the surrounding world. A central statue seemingly floats on the water, with pink light reflecting off its metallic surfaces. The Towers is, to my knowledge, unique in concept among Fallout 76 builds, standing out as immersive within itself and often commented upon by visitors as an amazing experience. The Towers is a personal pinnacle when it comes to purity of concept and execution. I can do different, but I don’t think I can do “better”.
LOCATION: Southern edge of the lake beside Thunder Mountain Power Plant
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: Purity of concept and execution, CAMP placement about 4 levels up, out above the water to allow for height and location. Over 100 concealed light sources in almost every floor piece, as well as on or inside every display item, with the few visible light sources used as points of interest and a contrast to the pervading darkness, consistent with other CAMPs in this this series. Perfect alignment of plasma balls (or it would look really, really bad), sunken aquarium, use of chimneys, apparently random (but not) designs of each building and display. Honestly, everything was fussy with so many little bits here and there that I can’t recall them. Direct access to most shelters. Skill level Advanced.
LITTLE KASHYZKABAN
LITTLE KASHY, 2024
Inspired by (but for practical and legal reasons not copying) the hostile triangular design of Azkaban from Harry Potter, Kashyzkaban floats over a clifftop in a windy red sky with shadowy spectres flying around it. Steam rises from its roof and the ground amongst the darkness. Glowing blue windows on all 3 sides show LOST imprisoned inside, providing points of light but offering no comfort for visitors. There is no visitor access inside the structure, but it’s a working prison, what did you expect? Vendor, shelter entries, resources and a workbench are set on the ground nearby, along with the detritus you’d expect where punishment and death are nearby.
LOCATION: “Mysterious Guidestones”, southern region of Savage Divide.
Technical highlights: Uncompromised execution of a weird concept that took too long to build. Floating a perfect triangle over a cliff involving geometry and guesswork for perfectly aligned elements manually placed. Building overlapping internal roofs for structure, floating LOST tubes for ideal height with windows, steam from inside the building and under the ground, floating spectres, minor terrain merges, illumination to change LOST tube from green to blue. Direct access to most shelters. Skill level Advanced.
WATERFALL
BABY KASHY, 2023
The waterfall is a popular location for builders. However, the rocks make building difficult and so most structures end up as compromises. So instead of arguing with the terrain, I chose to work with it. OK, I argued a bit. The top of the waterfall welcomes visitors with spore plants growing in the mud (yes, they can be slept in), a crow sits atop a glowing succulent, and toys sit inside the gulpers mouths. A roofed decking area sits on the left, with fireplace, seating areas, resources and vendor, with cooking outside. Daphne hangs out there too and friendly bears and toys are nearby. Elsewhere, giant sap drips from the big tree, and across the creek there are seats amongst many plants positioned to enjoy the relaxing outlook. At the bottom, there is a glass-roofed workshop with vines that have grown down to cover the sides. Mysterious fires come from pillars that suggest a symbolic use for the area in years gone by, and plants grow in a natural fashion.
LOCATION: West of the Crashed Plane in The Mire.
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS: Everything was difficult due to the uneven terrain and the uncompromised look I was aiming for. Terrain merging was used extensively to place items so they looked natural, along with plants and other items in the ground to make them appear planted in the soil, rather than in pots, made finicky due to challenges of rocks and working to ideal heights (to the mm). Verandah area was difficult to work with and place items in due to buggy building set. Restrictions of placement in water needed work-arounds. Concealed power and other elements without going underground to build anything. Bears and turkeys placed so that toes are visible but not their ugly stands. Crow perched on top of succulent. Hanging ultracite shards, and one through a treehouse. Floating glass roof set at the height of the pillars instead of normal walls, free hanging vine walls built within a week of the release in the atom shop so lots of trial and error to discover what is probably now a well-known technique. Access to shelters via basement. Skill level Advanced.
